Past, material and imagination

Between shards and reflection, a quiet object emerges—one in which past, material and imagination meet in a subtle gesture of change. Crafted from fragments of locally sourced ceramic waste, it revalues traces of the past, reflects the present and opens a renewed perspective on the future.

More than a design object, the mirror draws the viewer closer to experience its glossy texture and the delicate dialogue between reflection and material.

Fragments of Wonder is a natural and poetic continuation of our pursuit of a more sustainable future for ceramics. A distinctive self-glazing effect appears when we work with a very high percentage of reclaimed shards and little to no addition of new raw materials. A final layer of glaze intensifies this quality and gives each object depth and a layered presence.

Formed by the material

Each mirror takes shape through a distinctive material-led process. Rather than starting with a traditional mould, every object finds its contour within the original material. Its origin remains subtly visible along the edges, giving every casting a character of its own.

Oxides create a distinctive tonal nuance while also lowering the firing temperature. The current clay body contains up to 70% reclaimed shards, and our research continues towards a recipe made entirely from waste.
