Nieuw Zwanenburg

Ceramic plate carrying the imprint of a crop from Nieuw Zwanenburg

During Dutch Design Week 2025, Nieuw Zwanenburg, fieldlab for the future, became a satellite location for a series of breakfast and lunch sessions. Visitors were picked up in the centre of Eindhoven and taken to the farm of the future.

Guests ate a seasonal breakfast from plates created by Meaningful Matter. Each plate carries a unique imprint of crops growing around Nieuw Zwanenburg, while the clay is made with ceramic shards collected from Kringloop Zwolle. Around the tables, designers, entrepreneurs, researchers, farmers and educators discussed possible futures for food, materials and production.
